United Nations Human Settlements Programme is a United Nations agency for human settlements.
The UN-Habitat is the focal point for all urbanization and human settlement matters within the UN system. It was established in 1978. It is mandated by UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all.
